GUILDFORD: Australian satellite technology leader Myriota is expanding its global reach with the launch of a new UK office at Surrey Research Park, Guildford. This strategic move to one of the UK’s premiere innovation communities marks a significant milestone in Myriota’s mission to accelerate international growth and solidify its presence in the EMEA region. The company is revolutionising Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity by using direct-to-device satellite technology to enable secure and affordable access to data anywhere in the world. Its pioneering technology enables ground-based, low-powered IoT devices and sensors around the globe to transmit data via nanosatellites orbiting the Earth. Myriota technology has unlocked use cases that include monitoring water quality in Australia’s remote outback, through to livestock wellbeing protection across the vast plains of North America.


As the ninth space company to join the Surrey Research Park, operated by the University of Surrey — home to the world-class Surrey Space Centre and a founding member of the Space South Central industry cluster — Myriota is now part of a growing hub of space innovation leaders.
The company’s decision to join Surrey’s vibrant innovative business community, marks a significant step in the Park’s growth as a major ‘launchpad’ for businesses looking to capitalise on opportunities in future-defining industries, like the space sector.
