Myriota expands global IoT footprint with four new satellites on SpaceX Transporter-16

31 Mar 2026

ADELAIDE, Australia – 31 March 2026 – Myriota, the global leader in secure, low-power satellite IoT connectivity, today announced the successful launch and deployment of four new satellites, further strengthening its UltraLite™ Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation.

Launched via partner Spire Global aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-16 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base, these satellites represent a significant step in Myriota’s 2026 expansion strategy. The addition of these assets provides a major uplift in performance and resilience, ensuring more scalable and reliable IoT connectivity for smart devices operating even in the most remote corners of the globe.

Boosting performance and global resilience

The newly deployed satellites are designed to enhance the speed and reliability of message delivery across Myriota’s global network. By expanding the constellation, Myriota continues to reduce latency and increase service capacity, allowing for the seamless monitoring of millions of assets across industries including agriculture, utilities and environmental monitoring.

Key benefits of this orbital expansion include:

Innovation through strategic partnerships

By leveraging its Space-as-a-Service partnership with Spire, Myriota continues to iterate on its space infrastructure at a rapid pace. This model allows Myriota to host its proprietary technology on high-performance nanosatellites, combining specialised IoT expertise with world-class orbital hardware.

Ben Cade, Myriota’s CEO said: “We’re maintaining a rigorous satellite launch cadence to ensure our customers in agriculture, logistics, utilities and more – have the most resilient connectivity available. Every satellite we add to our constellation directly translates to faster data insights and higher reliability – with the ability to support millions of devices monitoring critical assets across the globe. Our networks are ready for the next wave of global IoT expansion.”

Enabling a data-driven future

The expanded UltraLite network empowers Myriota’s partners to deploy ultra low-cost and power sensors that can last for years on a single battery. From tracking wind turbines and solar farms to monitoring soil moisture and livestock, Myriota’s network portfolio – utilising both LEO and 3GPP-aligned GEO satellite services – ensures every IoT use case has a tailored, secure path to the cloud.
