Applications Open: Myriota Impact & Access Fund
4 Aug 2026
Giving the next generation of space innovators their lift-off.
Some of Australia’s brightest minds grew up in places where the path to a STEM career isn’t straightforward.
Today, we’re inviting first-year STEM students at South Australian universities to apply for the Myriota Impact & Access Fund for the 2027 academic year.
Just as our technology connects the unconnected across the globe, this fund exists to ensure that geography and background don’t limit what a student can achieve. It’s designed to support students who face real barriers to higher education – particularly those from very remote communities – who are pursuing careers that will help shape our future in space science, engineering, and environmental monitoring.
Successful applicants will receive financial support to help cover accommodation and study-related costs as they move into their second year of study in 2027.
Who can apply?
To be eligible, you must be:
- Currently completing your first year of tertiary study in 2026
- Enrolled to commence second year at a South Australian university in 2027
- Studying a STEM discipline
- Originally from a remote region of Australia
- An Australian citizen or permanent resident
Female and Indigenous students are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applications are now open until 11 October, through the application portal. Please refer to our FAQs for further information.
At Myriota, innovation has always meant extending possibility – building technology that reaches beyond traditional limits. Through the Impact & Access Fund, we’re applying that same thinking to people.
