Myriota and Telkomsat Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Advance Satellite IoT Solutions Across Indonesia and the ASEAN Region

Jakarta, Indonesia, 21 November 2025: Myriota, a global leader in space-enabled Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telkomsat, Indonesia’s leading satellite service provider, to bring its IoT connectivity and solutions platform to the region.

The ceremonial signing took place in the presence of Minister Joe Szakacs, South Australian Minister for Trade and Investment and Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, underscoring the strategic importance of the partnership for regional technology collaboration and economic growth.

This strategic partnership paves the way for Myriota to offer its multi-band connectivity services and range of IoT enablement solutions in Indonesia, including the new HyperPulse™ 5G NTN service.

Developed in partnership with Viasat, HyperPulse™ is the first IoT service to utilise Viasat’s dynamic leasing capability across its geostationary L-band network. This approach allows connectivity performance – such as latency and data availability – to be adjusted geographically in response to customer demand or environmental conditions.

The HyperPulse service complements Myriota’s LEO-based UltraLite™ service, which delivers unparalleled energy efficiency, security and spectrum efficiency to enable even the most challenging IoT use cases.

Myriota’s services will further broaden Telkomsat’s extensive portfolio of satellite solutions, expanding their already critical role in the development and provision of connectivity services, accelerating digital transformation and driving IoT adoption throughout Indonesia and the Southeast Asia region.
The partnership will target several major growth sectors in the ASEAN region, including maritime, oil and gas, agriculture, and environmental and disaster monitoring, each expected to reach multi-billion-dollar market value within the next five years.

These industries share a critical need for reliable, affordable, and resilient connectivity, particularly in remote areas where traditional networks cannot reach. Satellite IoT offers a powerful pathway to improved productivity and enhanced monitoring across the region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Szakacs acknowledged the significance of the partnership and its potential to advance high-tech collaboration between Australia and Indonesia. The Minister highlighted the opportunities emerging from Myriota and Telkomsat’s shared capability, strong market alignment, and a growing regional demand for reliable IoT solutions. He added that the MoU presented a remarkable opportunity for the expansion of Myriota’s world-leading technology.
